- Mike Norris Added January 10, 2018★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆A nice building with a great view of the ships floating past. Clientele? A smattering of old sea dogs, dining families and tourists. Food is amongst the best you'll get in Stockton (not exactly THE highest recommendation-yet!), good portions and friendly-ish service. Average beer, I'm afraid-come on, get some proper crafties in!
The washtub is the first place the tourists see as they get off the ferry. And that's a bit worrying. Greeted by posters advertising 'Friday evening ladies in lingerie' (are we in 1976 or something??!) and old skool decor that is...well, just a bit too old skool, the restaurant area in particular needs a serious refurb. The washtub could, and should, be an absolute gold mine, it just needs to see what they're doing on the other side of the river.
Stockton has changed-and if this place gets with the program, it will be cleaning up in no time.
